UK Bills & Budget Planner Spreadsheet
Every UK bill turned into one honest monthly number, for £7: weekly, four-weekly, quarterly, annual and 10-instalment council tax bills, a monthly budget, energy readings and a savings goal in one spreadsheet. Instant download for Google Sheets and Excel.
UK bills come weekly, four-weekly, quarterly, annually and in 10 council tax instalments, which is why "what do I spend a month?" is so hard to answer. Type them in once and this planner shows what you really spend each month, what's left after payday, and how fast you'll reach a savings goal.
What you get (8 tabs):
- Start here: how it works in 7 steps, and a key to the input cells
- Settings: your monthly take-home pay, other income and the month your budget starts
- Bills: up to 31 regular bills with category, provider, pay method and due day. Pick weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually and it works out the monthly and yearly cost. Council tax and energy fill in for you
- Council Tax: your band and annual charge, the 25% single person discount, other reductions, and a 10- or 12-instalment schedule from April to March with paid so far and still to pay
- Energy: your unit rates and standing charges, then a meter reading each month (up to 24). Gas m³ are turned into kWh, and you see usage, cost per month, your account balance and whether your direct debit is too high or too low
- Budget: 12 months of income, fixed bills, groceries, transport, eating out and other spending against your own monthly budget, with what's left over and overspends highlighted
- Savings Goal: a target and a date, with progress, months left and how much to save each month
- Dashboard: income, fixed bills, what's left after bills, bills as a % of income, your biggest bill, the yearly cost of all bills, savings progress and the energy and council tax checks, all in one place
Example figures are included so you can see how it works. Replace them with your own.
Works with: Google Sheets (free) and Excel. Instant download.
