Escape From the Monkey Trap

Escape From the Monkey Trap is the first of a planned series of six volumes offering a detailed analysis of selected writings from F M Alexander and Frank Piers Jones that make up the reading material for the first module of the Interactive Teaching Method (ITM) Teacher Training Course. 

This volume begins with an in-depth look at the first three chapters of Freedom to Change by Frank Piers Jones. In addition to the wealth of information from Jones’ text, this book also introduces many of the most important analytical and practical tools used in the ITM to study the work of F M Alexander. Using an innovative format, readers are brought directly into the ITM classroom experience as their personal journey towards understanding the Alexander Technique begins.
