De Vere's Shakespeare Sonnet Ciphers - Chapter 1 Slideshow
I recommend you view Cipher Lesson first.
Chapter 1 has a total of 23 pages in a slideshow. There is no voice-over. Here I reveal the simple ciphers hidden by Edward DeVere in his poems. Somehow, the people who knew about this in Tudor times conspired to keep it secret. Even expert cryptographers have failed to see these hidden messages. No doubt they were looking for more complicated encryptions. Chapter 1 has the introductory explanation, then some fascinating early poems and the intriguing Sonnets Dedication. This all began for me in November 2023, when I read the work of the late Helen Heightsman Gordon, to whom I am greatly indebted. She brought to my attention a De Vere poem entitled 'The Absent Lover'. De Vere invites his readers to find his name in cipher. While successfully doing that, I began learning what he meant by a cipher and just how loose his rules were for their creation. To some extent, there is a little mind reading needed to guess what words De Vere might want to hide and in that regard the work of Hank Whittemore has proved inspirational.
