Are you watching your child struggle with the return to school and feeling your own stress levels rise?

(PRE-RECORDED WEBINAR)

Transitions are notoriously difficult because unknowns activate fear responses, and a return to structure can cause significant stress for some brains. The truth is: your child isn't being "difficult" on purpose—their nervous system is reacting to change.

In this therapist-led webinar, Victoria Valdez, LMFT, provides a nervous-system-informed approach to navigating back-to-school transitions. You will learn how to recognize the signs of anxiety and how to respond in a way that builds a sense of safety, calm, and connection.

  • No judgment
  • No panic
  • Real, somatic, and practical tools that actually work

If you’re ready to stop the morning power struggles and start the school year with a regulated household, this webinar is for you.

Starting a new school year can feel overwhelming—not just for kids, but for parents too. Transitions often activate anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral challenges, especially in families navigating ADHD, trauma history, or high sensitivity.

But with the right tools, this season doesn’t have to feel chaotic.

In this webinar, you’ll learn how to support both your child’s nervous system—and your own—so you can move through back-to-school transitions with more calm, confidence, and connection.

What You’ll Learn

✔ The Science of Transition Stress: Why back-to-school routines trigger "fight or flight" in some children.

✔ Identifying Anxiety "Red Flags": How to spot the difference between typical nerves and deeper distress.

✔ The Power of Parent Regulation: Techniques to stay calm and model problem-solving when your child is spiraling.

✔ Daily Somatic Tools: Practical physical exercises like 5-senses grounding and hand breathing to reset the nervous system.

✔ Effective Communication: Scripts for talking to teachers and building a collaborative coping plan with your child.

Who This Webinar Is For

✔ Parents and caregivers of children and teens facing back-to-school jitters.

✔ Families struggling with new routines, morning meltdowns, or school avoidance.

✔ Neurodivergent-affirming households looking for structure-friendly stress management.

✔ Educators wanting to understand the somatic roots of student anxiety.

✔ Anyone seeking evidence-based, culturally sensitive mental health tools.

Benefits

Understand the "Why": Shift from frustration to empathy by understanding the biological roots of transition stress.

Co-Regulate Effectively: Learn to set the emotional tone for your entire household.

Gain a "Toolkit": Walk away with a variety of somatic and verbal tools to use before and after the school bell rings.

Empower Your Child: Give your child the language and skills to self-advocate and manage their own worries.

Meet Victoria

Hi, I'm Victoria, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT#1944) in Brentwood, TN. I specialize in working with kids, teens, parents, and women. I am the owner and clinical operational director of Tri-Synergy Counseling. I know parenting can be one of life’s most amazing and rewarding ventures, but it can also be challenging. Since children do not come with their own personalized how-to manuals, figuring out how to raise them through their many stages of development can be very difficult.

This is where I can help. I bring over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in foster care, residential treatment centers, in-home settings, school settings, and private practice. I have over 150+ hours of specialized training in supporting and treating child and teen mental health struggles.

I am also a mom of 3. I look forward to providing you with tools to support your child & teen's mental health.
