CABOURG AFFAIR
French Sûreté agents Laura and Elise arrive at the Grand Hotel in Cabourg to investigate the growing influence of the secret sect known as the New Order. Beneath the elegance of Belle Époque society, they uncover hidden meetings, coded symbols, underground rituals, and powerful conspirators operating within the hotel itself. Assisted by Marjorie, the owner’s courageous daughter, the two agents expose the sect and arrest its apparent leader after a dramatic confrontation across the Grand Hotel and the beaches of Cabourg.
But the victory is short-lived.
Just before returning to Paris, Laura and Elise receive a mysterious message revealing that the true mastermind still remains hidden. Their investigation leads them through abandoned casinos, secret underground chambers, aristocratic conspiracies, and political receptions where France’s elite secretly support a dangerous movement called New France.
The agents finally uncover the truth behind Armand Vallier, a celebrated war hero believed dead for years, who seeks to reshape France through fear and manipulation. Amid storms, hidden explosives, rooftop chases, and deadly confrontations above the sea, Laura and Elise risk everything to stop Vallier before Cabourg is destroyed.
At dawn, with the Grand Hotel standing peacefully once more, the two agents walk along the beach knowing that although they defeated the Master of New France, the ideas behind his movement may still survive in the shadows.
