J.S. Bach - "Air on the G String" Lever Harp Arrangement in D - Digital Sheet Music

This is a 3-page digital sheet music transcription (pdf download) of Marianne's intermediate level arrangement of Bach "Air on the G string" for Celtic harp. It is a transposed version in D major of Bach's original composition in G. It is playable on lever harps with a minimum of 31 strings ranging from low A to high C. It is suitable for intermediate players with good hand coordination, who can find their way easily across the entire range of the instrument, master 3 or 4 note rolled chords, and who are comfortable with changing levers while playing.

This arrangement was designed to keep lever changes to a minimum (simplifying the original composition), while still making the most of the harp's unique sound possibilities (adding arpeggios and grace notes for extra resonance). This tune can be played at a slow tempo, which makes lever changes easier to manage.

The digital download includes 2 files: (1) a file with indications on how to tune your harp before you play this tune, and (2) a file with the sheet music, including detailed finger markings and lever changes.
