Zero Exponent Rule Coloring Activity | Exponent Rules Practice
Focus on one exponent rule at a time with this Zero Exponent Rule Coloring Activity. Students practice simplifying expressions using the zero exponent rule, including problems that require careful attention to parentheses.
The zero exponent rule is often one of the easier exponent rules for students to learn, but parentheses can make some problems more challenging. This activity gives students practice deciding when the entire expression is raised to the zero power and when only part of the expression is affected.
After simplifying each expression, students match their answers to the coloring key and complete the coloring page. Use this activity for independent practice, math centers, homework, review, or sub plans.
