- Book One — “The First Step” Trilla cautiously stepping into the new forest habitat with Mother nearby. This is the best Book One choice because it captures the central lesson—courage to try—and gives children lots to color: Trilla, leaves, branches, raindrops, and the forest path.
- Book Two — “Trilla Builds Her Nest” Trilla actively arranging branches and leaves while Mother watches. This is the strongest educational coloring page because children can visually understand planning, building, testing, and persistence.
- Book Three — “Something to Laugh About” Trilla tipping the giant wet leaf and splashing Mother. This is my favorite of the three overall because it is joyful, funny, instantly understandable, and perfectly reinforces the Book Three message that you can still find joy while the storm is happening. I’d include light rain, one large leaf, puddles, and perhaps a faint rainbow outline in the distance.
