Elijah lives a content life in his deeply religious, closed community. He has dreams of starting a family and serving God as one of His most devout followers.

All those dreams seem to be going according to plan, until Mister Phillips, the Priest's right hand man, shows up to his house with some terrible news: Jeremiah, the Priest's personal attendant and servant, has gone missing, and God has chosen Elijah as his replacement.

Now, it seems Elijah is about to learn an uncomfortable, brutal truth about the religion he loves so much. Would God truly have chosen such a cruel fate for him? Or has this closed community been built on a lie, meant only to control one's mind and — more importantly — body?
