This collection pursues a contemplative approach to Christmas music that has led me to include many lesser-known carols of Europe as well as several medieval carols. Besides these, I have also reinterpreted some more familiar carols, striving to make them warm and accessible for solo performances or small ensembles. All songs are appropriate for either flatpicking or fingerpicking. Midi audios of each song are also included in this download package. May these songs guide you this Christmas in seeking a balance between the collective celebrations of our larger communities and the renewal to be found in solitude.
