Surrender Bridge, Swaledale - Yorkshire Dales Canvas Print

Standing high on the open moorland above Upper Swaledale, Surrender Bridge is one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most iconic landmarks. Crossing Old Gang Beck amidst the remains of the historic lead-mining industry, the traditional stone bridge has become a favourite subject for walkers and photographers exploring this beautiful corner of the National Park.

The bridge is crossed by Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk and gained national recognition through its appearance in the opening titles of the classic television series All Creatures Great and Small. Set against the wild upland landscape of Swaledale, it remains one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most photographed and enduringly recognisable scenes.
