Ogni hotel per famiglie prende un 9 su Google. Ma nessuno è perfetto per tutte le famiglie.

Come si fa a capire quale struttura è perfetta per la tua? Dipende dai tuoi bisogni e dalle caratteristiche dell'albergo. Bisognerebbe chiamare ogni singolo hotel e fare tutte le domande del caso. Quali sono gli orari del miniclub? Le bevande analcoliche sono incluse? I bambini possono pranzare con gli animatori? Quanto costa davvero una settimana per una famiglia di 4?

L'ho fatto io. 48 hotel per famiglie in montagna, chiamati o scritti uno per uno.

Il problema delle guide family hotel è che non esistono guide, esistono elenchi. Elenchi di strutture con foto belle e descrizioni che sembrano tutte scritte dallo stesso copywriter. Zero confronto reale, zero numeri veri, zero "attenzione a questo dettaglio prima di prenotare". Quindi lo abbiamo fatto noi.

Cosa trovi dentro:

La Valutazione a Somma Zero Giramenti

Invece di voti liberi che finiscono sempre gonfiati, ogni hotel riceve un budget fisso di 25 punti da distribuire tra 5 parametri: estetica, qualità cibo, divertimento bambini, relax genitori, efficienza costo. Esattamente come si creano i personaggi in The Sims: se un hotel eccelle in un ambito, deve cedere punti da un altro. Nessun hotel prende 9 e lode ovunque, perché nella realtà non esiste (o esiste, ma devi pagare 1900€ a notte).

I nostri tre comandamenti sono: minimo sbatti, massima resa, giusta spesa. Ma c'è chi vuole spendere il minimo possibile o chi ha bisogno di un albergo ski in/ski out. Con questa database, puoi fare una scelta informata.

Come funziona una volta comprato

Non è un PDF che invecchia il giorno dopo l'acquisto. È un Google Sheet vivo: quando aggiorno un prezzo o verifico un nuovo dettaglio, lo vedi lì, senza scaricare nulla di nuovo. Consigliato aprirlo da computer o tablet per usare tutte le funzioni di filtro e ordinamento.

Da leggere prima di comprare (sì, davvero)

Un'ultima cosa, perché l'onestà è il motivo per cui esiste questa guida.

I preventivi dentro il foglio sono uno scatto in un momento preciso, non un prezzo fisso. Gli hotel usano tariffe dinamiche: cambiano con la disponibilità residua, con quanto manca alla data, con l'umore del revenue manager. Il numero che trovi ti serve per capire l'ordine di grandezza reale — non il prezzo "a partire da" gonfiato di marketing — ma il prezzo esatto lo confermi sempre tu, direttamente con l'hotel, prima di prenotare.

Lo stesso vale per i dettagli operativi, in particolare negli hotel più piccoli. Quando mi hanno detto al telefono "il mini club apre alle 9", spesso quella risposta dipende da una persona sola che lavora lì — se cambia la stagione, cambia lo staff, o cambia semplicemente la giornata, quell'orario può cambiare con lei. Ho verificato tutto uno per uno, ma verificato a quella data: non è una garanzia scolpita nella pietra, è la fotografia più onesta che potevo fartene.

Uso questa guida per restringere il campo e arrivare preparata alla telefonata con l'hotel, non per saltarla.

It's not. Every family has different needs and each hotel offers different services. What are the mini club hours? Are non-alcoholic drinks included? Can kids have lunch with the entertainment staff? What does a week actually cost for a family of 4?

I did it. 48 family hotels in the mountains, called or emailed one by one.

The problem with family hotel guides is that guides don't really exist — only lists do. Lists of properties with pretty photos and descriptions that all sound like they were written by the same copywriter. Zero real comparison, zero real numbers, zero "watch out for this before you book."

The Giramenti Zero-Sum Rating System

Instead of free-form scores that always end up inflated, every hotel gets a fixed budget of 25 points to spread across 5 parameters: aesthetics, food quality, kids' fun factor, parents' relax factor, cost efficiency. Exactly like building a character in The Sims: if a hotel excels in one area, it has to give up points somewhere else. No hotel gets top marks across the board, because that doesn't exist in reality (or it does, but you'll pay €1,900 a night for it).

Our three commandments are: minimum hassle, maximum payoff, fair price. But some people want to spend as little as possible, others need a ski-in/ski-out hotel. With this database, you can make an informed choice.

How it works once you buy it

This isn't a PDF that goes stale the day after you buy it. It's a living Google Sheet: when I update a price or verify a new detail, you see it there — no re-downloading anything. Best opened on a computer or tablet so you can use all the filtering and sorting features.

Read this before you buy (yes, really)

One last thing, because honesty is the whole reason this guide exists.

The quotes in the sheet are a snapshot at one specific moment, not a fixed price. Hotels use dynamic pricing: it shifts with remaining availability, how far out the date is, the revenue manager's mood. The number you find here is meant to give you the real order of magnitude — not the inflated marketing "starting from" price — but you always confirm the exact price yourself, directly with the hotel, before booking.

The same goes for operational details, especially at the smaller hotels. When someone told me on the phone "the mini club opens at 9," that answer often depends on one single person working there — if the season changes, if the staff changes, or the day just changes, that time can change with them. I verified everything one by one, but verified as of that date: it's not a guarantee carved in stone, it's the most honest snapshot I could give you.
