What were my plans this holiday season?

Not inheriting a candy store from an estranged relative. Not being adopted by a town far from home. And not having unexpected feelings for the guy who’s been taking care of the shop until I could get there.

This is a Christmas like no other.

To be clear, I have no intention of staying. I have a job, and it’s not running a sweets shop in Majestic Falls, deep in the heart of the Adirondacks. I don’t even know how to bake. Making candy? That will be a disaster. And can I ignore my feelings for the people here or the man who enchants me from day one?

Especially, how am I supposed to say goodbye and go back home when home feels like the arms of the man I wasn’t looking for?
