Most chore charts are one generic list handed to every child in the house. These are five separate charts, because what a four year old can genuinely do on their own and what a twelve year old should be doing are not the same conversation.

Ages 2 to 3. Small hands, small jobs, enormous pride.

Ages 4 to 5. Things they can genuinely do alone now. Good enough counts, and if you remake the bed in front of them they will stop making it.

Ages 6 to 9. Tick the box when it is done, not when it is started.

Ages 10 to 12. The shift from tidying their own mess to helping the household.

Ages 13 and up. Works better as an agreement than an instruction. Sit down once, agree what is on it, then let the chart do the nagging instead of you.
