Marry Me, I've Done Therapy
Marry Me, I've Done Therapy is an illustrated, easy-to-read memoir of my past love interests.
I start by giving my thoughts on what I believe is the foundation of a godly romantic relationship (Pete, Why Are You Single?) before sharing lived experiences with past romantic interests (names have been changed, obviously).
Some highlights include:
Ruguru, an attractive, intelligent, driven, adventurous, and kept the drama at a minimum. Yet somehow, the thought of asking her out never crossed my mind (Ruguru: Love Is A Choice);
Aketch, a Daughter of Zion so fly you just wanted to stop what you were doing to congratulate her (Aketch: Heartbreak Tented Camp);
Hermona: a look-twice gorgeous Ethiopian princess with a soft spot for Kenya (Hermona: From Addis With Love);
Loice: my first ever date whose conversation showcased her depth of character, and her laughter erupted into a loud cackle, revealing a gummy smile capped with a Kanda Bongo Man tooth gap (Help Me Find Loice);
Mukami: a triathlete with a soft spot for the environment whose features landed her on the cover of a popular early 2000s High School magazine (Mukami: Ain't No Mountain High Enough)
Nyasuguta: a whirlwind romance that began when I slid into her DMs and whose forceful gentleness, heart of gold and the
most winning smile conceivable was unmatched (Nyasuguta: Like, Comment, Heartbreak!) and many more.
