UK Edition: Staff Self Regulation Worksheet: Know Your Triggers, SEND, KS4 and Post-16
A reflection worksheet for staff who work with pupils who escalate. Hard days are part of this job, and knowing my own triggers is what keeps me steady when a pupil isn't.
What's included
• Know your triggers page: the words, behaviours and situations that get to you
• Calm plan: what you notice in your body first and what you will do
• Swap out plan: how you hand over to a colleague and the signal you will use
• Reflection page for after a hard day
How I use it
Staff fill it in privately, then share only what they choose. It works well in a CPD session, in supervision, or as part of a new TA's induction. The swap out plan is worth agreeing as a whole team.
This is for staff reflection. It sits alongside your setting's behaviour policy and crisis prevention and de-escalation training.
Format: PDF, 3 A4 pages.
