Sketchbook Jacket

A custom jacket for your sketchbook. A jacket to keep everything you need to plan, draw, write, and sketch. This pattern takes you through the steps to create a tailor made jacket that wraps around your sketchbook and zips up to keep all the extra papers and notes inside. The zip pocket on the inside holds pens, pencils, and erasers.

This an intermediate pattern.

Materials

1 hardcover sketchbook (any hardcover book can be customized)
1 separating zipper (1 inch shorter than the height of sketchbook)
1 all-purpose zipper (2 inches shorter than the height of sketchbook)
1 1/2 yard woven fusible interfacing
1/2 yard exterior fabric
2/3 yard lining fabric
1/2 yard fusible fleece

flexible tape measure
washable fabric marking pen or pencil
rotary cutter
straight ruler for marking & cutting
pins and craft clips
scissors
