Ceramics Now Magazine Issue 20 (June 2026) features the work of Eva Zethraeus on the cover. Working primarily in porcelain, Zethraeus creates intricate biomorphic sculptures shaped by nature, growth, and transformation, where repetition and variation suggest organic systems in constant change.

This issue brings together essays, interviews, and reviews that reflect on artistic dialogue and the evolving relationship between vessel, sculpture, and narrative. Bronaċ Ferran speaks with Miquel Barceló, tracing connections between art history, materiality, and contemporary practice. Olivia Fero explores the shifting boundaries between vessel, sculpture, and fiction, while Anne-Marie Dehon uncovers the story of a forgotten clay recipe and its material legacy. Jennifer Zwilling writes on American Crib: What's Happening? by Roberto Lugo, a Radical Americana exhibition at The Clay Studio. Heidi McKenzie examines The Forgotten Man, a reflection on memory, accountability, and the ways artists use clay to reckon with difficult histories.

This issue presents featured artists Eva Zethraeus, Lauren Kalman, Shinhye You, Mingshu Li, and Anca Ion.

The exhibitions section highlights Claire Curneen: Between my finger and my thumb at Ruthin Craft Centre, Ruthin; Shaping Clay: Women artists in contemporary Japanese ceramics at Dai Ichi Arts, New York; Susie Choi: Right Side Wrong Side at Sabbia Gallery, Sydney; Porcelain Reconsidered at Vessels + Sticks, Toronto; and Maryam Yousif: Above Earth, Under The Rays of the Sun at The Pit, Los Angeles.
