Better questions than “5 stars.”

Admit One is a printable reading journal and digital book journal built around a simple idea: one book, one page. Instead of rating a book and moving on, you record what you actually thought, felt, and learned.

Use it as a printable PDF or as a digital planner-style journal on your iPad or tablet. It works with any app that supports writing on PDFs, so you can handwrite with a stylus or add text boxes where your app allows it.

Two ways to use it

Print it

  • A4 PDF, ready to print at home or at a print shop
  • Bind it, punch it for a ring binder, or keep it as loose sheets
  • Printing on US Letter? Select “Fit to page” in your print settings

Write on iPad or tablet

  • Import the PDF into GoodNotes, Notability, or any PDF annotation app
  • Tap the built-in navigation to jump between sections
  • Reuse the same file every year by duplicating it

What’s inside (about 50 pages)

  • Reading goals (2 pages): first half and second half of the year, with books to read, minutes a day, genres to try, books you keep putting off, and your “why”
  • To Be Read (TBR) list (3 pages): a checklist wish list for up to 36 books
  • Books read log (2 pages): an index for 30 books with title, author, and done
  • 30 single-page book reviews: one full page per book, with:
  • Book number, start and finish dates, title, and author
  • “Why did I pick this up?”
  • “Which line made me stop and think?” with a page number
  • “If I could talk to the author, I’d ask…”
  • “How did this book change my mind?”
  • “Tell a friend in one sentence”
  • Loved it / Liked it / Not for me checkboxes
  • “If this book were a song:”
  • Quote collection (2 pages): space to keep 8 favorite quotes with page and source
  • Lending log: track who borrowed which book, when, and whether it came back
  • Year in review (2 pages): your numbers (books, pages, top genre, busiest month, compared with goals) plus your memories (top 3, line of the year, the book that changed your mind most, and what to read next year)
  • Notes (3 pages): free space for anything else

Key features

  • Hyperlinked navigation: tap to jump to the cover, contents, next page, or previous page
  • Clean, cozy “cinema ticket” design in red and navy
  • No scores and no wrong answers. You don’t have to fill every box
  • English version, A4 size, instant PDF download

Who is it for?

  • Readers who want to think about books, not just count them
  • Bookworms, students, book club members, and anyone with a growing TBR pile
  • Planner and iPad note-taking fans who love digital journals
  • Anyone looking for a simple reading tracker or a book lover gift idea (download, print, and give)
