Textured Cowl or Scarf - Nadine

This textured Cowl or Scarf is worked in a diagonal rib stitch, and has a contrasting colour section in the centre.

The photos show the Cowl only. The Scarf is half the width but twice the length of the Cowl.

Cowl width: 30cm [12 ins]

Cowl length: 84cm [33 ins]

Scarf width: 15cm [6 ins]

Scarf length: 168cm [66 ins]

 

Yarn required for Cowl or Scarf: Irish Tweed, 50g balls@110m.

2 balls Main Colour (MC - Bramble Stone 34)

1 ball Contrast Colour (CC - Bhainne 39)

 

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

Wool needle for sewing up.

 

Tension: 20.5 sts and 31 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over patt, using 4.00mm needles.
