This infinity scarf features motifs inspired by the mudcloth textile that is commonly found in Africa and originated from the Malian people of West Africa. Several styles of mudcloth use black and white, but this scarf can work in several different colors.

Suggested Yarn: Neighborhood Fiber Company Organic Studio Sock, 100% Organic Merino, 400yds/4oz

720 yards of Organic Studio Sock in the main color and 400 yards of Organic Studio Sock in the contrasting color

Needles:

US size 5 (3.75mm) 58”+ (147cm) circular

US size 6 (4mm) 58”+ (147cm) circular

Or needle size needed to achieve gauge

Gauge:

28 sts x 30 rounds in colorwork pattern in the round = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) with US size 5 (3.75mm)
