Last Light Observatory: Printable Cooperative Puzzle Game (Print and Play)

EDITION 2 (September 2026): every page is now a found object. Illustrated keeper's letter, star chart, telegram slips, cipher strip, ledger and brass console. Two-layer puzzles, a red herring, and a host guide styled as the keeper's ledger.

WHO IT IS FOR

Families and friends who want a screen-free, cooperative puzzle night at home or at a private gathering. 2 to 6 players, ages 10 and up, plus one person to host.

THE STORY

A storm has cut the observatory off from the valley. The keeper is gone and the beacon is dark. Your night crew finds the keeper's papers and must restore the light before the last light fails.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Eight illustrated player pages (full colour) plus an ink-saver edition of the same pages for black-and-white printers. A separate four-page host guide with answers, staged hints and how to run the ending. Start-here instructions, a cover, and the licence. One ZIP, about 3 MB.

HOW TO PLAY

Print single-sided on US Letter, or use Fit to Printable Area for A4. Bring pencils and scrap paper. No app, no locks, no scissors, no internet. Keep the host guide away from the players.

PLAY TIME

25 to 35 minutes is the design target, based on a timed solo solve. Group pacing has not yet been checked in a live playtest; treat it as an honest estimate.

The illustrations were generated with AI tools and art-directed by DarkArc Digital. All puzzle logic, layout and text were authored and independently verified by hand, including a blind solve from the printed pages.
