How It All Began
At the beginning of the pandemic, the Holy Spirit gave me the assignment to go live on social media for 30 consecutive days to talk about what it means to be the beloved of God and how to live in that place of being the beloved. One of the things that he said, and I could sense the grieving in his heart on this, was that people really didn't know what it was like to have a true relationship with him outside of the ritualistic things like going to church on a specific day of the week and reading a scripture a day prompted by an app on their phone. We talk about having an intimate relationship with him, but do we really know HOW? He said that it was time to change that, and this is how we're going to do it. Your new assignment is called “30 Days in the Beloved”.
The Encounter that Changed My Life Forever
I remember my first REAL undeniable encounter that I had with God two months after my father had passed. It was during this time of deep grief and sorrow that the Lord met me in the woods at a Christian women's retreat in Michigan. During this encounter, the Lord said, "I want you to see me the way I want you to see me." And one of those ways was as "BFF" I thought did the God of the universe really just say he wanted to be my BFF??? Well, if anyone was going to be my best friend forever it would be Him, the Eternal One! During this conversation, he told me that he would teach me how to engage with Him in that manner. That day was a pivotal day in my life and a day that changed my life forever. It was from that moment that I began my journey with the Lord seeing Him as my Best Friend Forever (BFF). And now I get to teach YOU many of the things that I learned from Him.
God is inviting us all into a deeper relationship with Him. No matter what your current relationship is with God, He wants to go even deeper. He's a multifaceted God and He wants each of us to know His many facets for ourselves. So, join me for the next 30 days, let's focus on establishing or deepening our relationship with the Lord, in ways that we never thought possible. We will explore how to see the Lord as our Best Friend, and all the beauty and confidence that come with it.
