The Power of Praise

Praise belongs in everyday life as well as in the church service. Beginning with Psalm 33, Evangelist W.T. Elliott calls believers to wholehearted worship through singing, thanksgiving, audible praise and the use of their gifts.

The Power of Praise connects familiar passages from the Psalms with practical attitudes: remembering God's goodness, expressing gratitude in difficult circumstances, and preparing the heart before gathering with the congregation. His illustration of Jamaican believers singing as they walk to church makes that preparation especially vivid.

Elliott also emphasizes prayer, spiritual victory and renewed appreciation for salvation. He encourages listeners to reconcile with others, resist discouragement and participate actively in worship rather than merely observing a service.
