SHINE for Business: A Participant Workbook

From Invisible to In-Demand to Ideal Clients

Created by Dr. Dawn Nicole McIlwain, Founder & CEO of ProcuraFind®, Author of Your Time To Shine!

Most businesses do not lose the corporate contract. They were never in the running.

The SHINE for Business Framework™ is built on a premise that few suppliers are ever told: a corporate buyer moves through five disciplines before they award anyone a contract. They have to see you, hear you clearly enough to repeat what you do, invite you in, need what you solve, and then trust you enough to elevate the relationship into lasting work. The steps are sequential. You cannot skip one and expect the next to hold.

This 16-page participant workbook takes a business owner through all five disciplines in a single sitting. Each discipline gets two pages. The left page defines the discipline and shows what the evidence looks like from the buyer's side, because SHINE measures what the buyer did, not what you intended. The right page asks one assessment question, yes or no, with no maybe, and gives space to write one action and a date to complete it.

At the end, the owner scores themselves out of five. The score names the gap and points to what closes it. A low score reveals an access gap, meaning buyers are not finding you and nothing is coming to you unprompted. A higher score reveals a readiness gap, meaning buyers can see you but you have not yet proven you can pass review and perform.

This is not a checklist and not a course. It is a diagnostic. Someone finishes it knowing exactly which of the five disciplines they are stuck in and the one action they will take next.

Written for business owners pursuing corporate clients, and used in workshops, training sessions, and as the prerequisite assessment for advanced ProcuraFind® programs.
