Full Ride

A university spy thriller.

June Calder did not apply for the scholarship that started paying her rent, but the lanyard works, the stipend hits on Friday, and nobody on the tour mentions the rooms past Student Health. She tells herself it is luck until the luck develops a schedule: notebooks you are encouraged to lose, meetings that look like advising, and a version of campus where quitting is treated as a branding problem. She can walk. Walking means the housing, the money, and the story that she earned any of it go with her.
