DESCRIPTION
Music Is a Moral Law is the debut album from MØTHS, the first band to dive into Gribblepunk, a mix of punk rock and the weird, lo-fi textures of Gribbleschnift. What started as Jude Kerr’s solo project in October 2025 became a full band when Common ZenZe joined in November 2025, and together they recorded this album in 2026.
The album picks up where their first single, “Motor,” left off, leaning into raw, DIY energy. The vocals wobble between distorted gribbly tones and punk attitude, while the music mixes jagged rhythms, lo-fi sounds, and playful experiments.a Over nine tracks, Music Is a Moral Law shows off the band’s personality, energy, and sense of fun, ending with the reflective tones of Goodbye (The Sea Will Take Me) but taking you through their chaos, fun and reflections throughout.
This cassette tape contains two exclusive bonus tracks that you won't find on any other version of the release, you get the original Dance Floor California track the way Jude originally first imagined it along with the Clockwork Mix of States of Confusion which almost became the final on the album.
