About the Coach!
Juanita Braxton, PhD, EdS, MBA
Dr. Juanita Braxton is currently the Executive Director of Imani Consultants PhD, a 501c(3) non-profit organization, with a with a primary focus on health education, medical education, and community service. She is also a GME Consultant as well as Business and Personal Coach. Dr. Braxton retired from the University of California, Davis Health System after 27 years of service as the Administrative Director of Surgical Education, considered a seasoned Program Administrator and inaugural member of the ACGME Coordinator Advisory Group. She has experience and expertise in program management, quality improvement,
accreditation compliance, team communication as well as educational programs daily operations.
She contributed significantly to the GME community and Public Health arena over the years through scholarly activity, committee roles as well as being a sought-after conference speaker for motivation and engagement as a GME Consultant and Team Communication professional.
Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Applied Behavioral Sciences; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Organizational Management; Doctor of Theology (ThD); an Education Specialist Degree (EdS) with a Teaching and Learning Specialization and a Doctorate (Ph.D). in Public Health – Community Health and a former Certified Training Administrator in Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME).
