3. META-DAT-003 — Data Extraction, Study Coding, Quality Assessment and Risk of Bias
Description:
This Master Prompt would focus on transforming eligible studies into a structured, auditable meta-analytic dataset. It would guide researchers in developing extraction forms and coding sheets; recording study characteristics, sample characteristics, interventions/exposures, comparators, outcomes and statistical information; handling multiple outcomes or time points; identifying overlapping samples; and resolving missing or ambiguous information.
The prompt would also guide selection and application of appropriate risk-of-bias and methodological-quality instruments, including RoB 2, ROBINS-I, Newcastle–Ottawa Scale and domain-specific tools where appropriate. Quality assessment would be treated as part of evidence interpretation rather than merely as a checklist. The uploaded studies employ different tools according to study design, demonstrating why one universal quality instrument is inappropriate.
