Vottene Åkle fra Maihaugen - mitten pattern

These mittens are inspired by colours and patterns in an “åkle” (blanket) that I once saw in Holbøstua at Maihaugen museum. You can use similar colours, or maybe a blanket or bedspread close to you can inspire you?

The pattern suggests two different colour combinations, the first with eight colours, the second with seven colours. The pattern also provides a chart that you can use to colour with your own colour ideas.

Circumference: 18.5 cm
Length from thumb to top: 13 cm
Thumb: 6.5 cm
