Merlin had been reading through the ancient archives from old Earth and the founding of the first colonies. It was in the years from 929 years before, that Merlin found his inspiration.

Back in 1887 there was a fictional character that built his gang of eyes and ears from the homeless and low. In the 1940s another organization moved into the same street where this character used to live. They formed a new overseas unit to fight behind the lines. A unit which was most definitely Irregular.

In Sherlock's diaries, the Irregulars would see and hear everything. The SOE unit would not follow the regular ideas of how to fight wars, and because of the organization's location, this is why it picked up the name the Baker Street Irregulars.

Merlin felt the SOE and Irregulars were overdue for a comeback tour in 2816. Their new mission was to set the Core ablaze, going behind the lines. The Rim and Rhinos would support the Irregulars, but in many ways, they would be on their own, a long way from home.
