Into the Depths

My love for the sea began on the shores of the Red Sea where I grew up. Few people who choose a life on the unpredictable and tumultuous waters of the oceans and seas seek the "normal" life but this is what's normal to us who do...and all the abnormal stories that come along.

This is my tale and my journeys through a life of calling a foreign soil a temporary home. Battling the everyday challenges of growing up, family, love, adventure, abuse, and addiction, I share my story of growth, truth, falling down, and surviving the darkness that lives in the depths of all of us at some point in our lives.

As a yacht chef for nearly two decades, this memoir shares many of these hilarious and sad moments. It is a search for inner redemption and the answers that only a life of exploration, self reflection, tragedy, and the love of those who never gave up on me could provide. It is a true look at what the life of a traveler and wanderer finds within themselves and what it took to come to a place of healing and true love in a world full of gorgeous beauty amidst the darkest of moments.
