AP Human Geography Unit 7 Activities Bundle: Industrialization & Economic Development
Help students explain economic development, compare models, and connect production to places and people. Ten printable activities bring together vocabulary, supply-chain research, projects, original FRQ practice, and video analysis. Teacher guides, answer keys, response guidance, and rubrics are included where appropriate.
Unit 7 gives students plenty of terms to learn. The next step is using those ideas to explain why development varies, how places depend on one another, and who benefits or faces costs when economies change.
Use vocabulary, crossword, and BINGO for review. Compare Rostow and Wallerstein, trace a product's supply-chain connections, or investigate the economic geography of a basketball tournament. The country project brings together work from all seven units. FRQs and video reflections give students structured practice explaining a claim with evidence.

DOWNLOAD AND PAGE COUNTS
One ZIP containing 11 PDFs, 143 pages total. The ten activity PDFs contain 140 pages; the start-here guide adds three. There are 86 student-facing pages and 57 teacher, key, reference, and start-here pages. The student count includes 30 BINGO cards, research planners, and optional pages; it does not mean 86 separate assignments.
The PDFs are printable U.S. Letter files (8.5 x 11 inches), not editable or fillable forms. Student worksheets are grayscale. Use the printing guide to select student pages and keep keys separate.
PREPARATION AND ACCESS
- Teach the concepts and supply class notes or examples as needed. These activities cover selected concepts rather than every Unit 7 topic.
- Global Footprint, March Madness, and Country Profile require research access or teacher-prepared sources. Students need dated, credible evidence and comparable geographic definitions. Complete current datasets and full reading sets are not included.
- March Madness uses a teacher-selected men's or women's tournament and year. An official bracket is not included. Students create a separate infographic.
- Country Profile requires at least five credible sources, including two government or international statistical sources. Students create a separate poster, slideshow, or approved presentation. Maps, a country dataset, and a slideshow template are not included.
- The Walmart activity requires separate access to the 2004 documentary or an authorized alternative. Full video playback and the complete transcript were not verified. Test your selected version, sound, captions, school access, and permitted use before assigning it. Keep the documentary's historical claims separate from current conditions. Teacher guidance supplies evaluation criteria and possible reasoning, not a verified scene-by-scene key.
- Development Ideas requires at least three suitable videos selected and accessed separately by the teacher. Assign one of the seven themes to each video, confirm that it supports the complete prompt, and provide the access links. Preview accuracy, content, runtime, captions, school access, and permitted use. Videos, transcripts, a fixed playlist, and media licenses are not included. Arrange accessible alternatives before grading.

SCOPE AND USE
This is an activities collection to use alongside your instruction. Slides, guided notes, a study guide, a unit exam, editable files, and a complete curriculum are not included. The FRQs are original practice questions, not official AP exam questions.
