MLA is the easiest and the most used formatting and citation style. Currently, the 8th edition of MLA formatting and citation style is being used in high schools, colleges, and universities across the globe. This format is most accepted in academic essays, research papers, thesis, and publication papers of subjects related to languages and humanities such as an Essay Writing Service. This blog provides a formatting guideline for those who have never used it before or not much familiar with it.

Have you understood the importance of formatting? I understood the importance of formatting the hard way. I never cared about the formatting guideline throughout high school and most teachers overlooked this. I continued this practice of ignorance throughout the first year of my college but soon I realized that I was losing some solid and easy points in every writing assignment for not following the formatting guidelines of the particular formatting styles. To avoid this fate, you must familiarize yourself with the most widely used formatting styles, APA and MLA. For the sake of this blog, we will be focusing on MLA.

Are you a slow learner? Are you not good at following directions and rules? If yes, then you must be worried that you will not format your paper correctly, and therefore, would be risking losing points in every assignment. If this is the case, you should consider getting help from an online essay writer service. You should tell them that you have written the essay yourself and you just want help with formatting. They will have an experienced writer format your paper according to the said formatting style.

Do you have a looming deadline? Is it impossible for you to write the essay within the given deadline? Well do not worry, there is still hope for you. You can use the “write my essay” services offered by essay writing websites. They will charge you a handsome amount but will deliver your essay well before the deadline without compromising the quality of the essay. They have professional and quite experienced essay writers, so you do not have to worry about your essay after placing an order with them.

Formatting an essay or a paper after writing it is comparatively difficult. Therefore, it is suggested that you set the word according to the MLA format guidelines before putting your fingers on the keyboard. Start your paper by applying the following general guidelines:

Set the font to Times New Roman
Make sure that font size is 12pt
Set margin to 1 inch on all four sides of the paper
Make sure line spacing is set to double
At the beginning of every new paragraph, there is an indent. Just press the tab button once
Title Page

There is no separate title page in MLA, however, if directed by your teacher you should make a title page according to the teacher’s directions.
Generally, the writer is supposed to write their name, name of the respective teacher, course title, and date of submission in separate lines, left-aligned, at the top of the first page
The title of the paper is in Title case, centered
Header

Write your last name and page number in the right corner of the header
Headings and subheadings

There are no specific guidelines about headings and subheadings, except that you stay consistent throughout the document
There is no period after the heading
The font and size should be the same as the body text, Times New Roman, 12
You can apply title case capitalization, italic, and bold to differentiate between different levels of headings
In-text Citations and the Work Cited page

Sources are cited by mentioning the last name of the respective authors in a parenthesis
At the end of the text, a work cited page is created, which includes a list of all the sources that have been cited in the text such as Essay Writer.
      These sources are listed alphabetically
You will get a JPG (83KB) file
