Product Pricing & Profit Calculator for Makers and Online Sellers

Type in your materials, packaging, time and shipping once. The workbook takes off VAT and the fees of the platform you sell on, then shows your profit per sale, margin, what you earn per hour and a suggested price that hits your target margin.

Who it's for

Makers, crafters, candle and soap makers, jewellery and print shops, home bakers and anyone selling products on a marketplace, a webshop or at markets.

How to use

1. Excel: unzip the download, then open the .xlsx in Microsoft Excel 2010 or later (Windows or Mac).
2. Google Sheets: upload the file to Google Drive, open it with Google Sheets, then choose File → Save as Google Sheets.
3. Start on the Start Here tab. White cells are for your input; grey cells are calculated and locked.
4. No macros, no add-ons, formulas locked so you can't break them by accident.

• Edition 2026. Platform fees are examples checked October 2026 – type in your own platform's current fees. Any currency (one per file).
• A pricing and planning aid, not tax, legal or financial advice. Check your situation with your tax office or an adviser before you rely on the figures.
• VAT registered yes/no and rate are editable in Settings.
