Church Play

Church Scene, or The Trial of Diego Morales: A Play in One Act, is based on a true story of nonsense that can occur in Christian churches. Warning: Contains Offensive Material.

Less than a month after this play was completed in 2020, a scandal broke out at New Harvest Church, which inspired Tovar to eventually write Church Scene.

Kristian Kidd was a lifelong resident of the area impacted by the Eaton Fire in 2025.

Jesse Tovar is the author of Church Scene.
