Glimmering Kerchief (Merry and Bright)
A simple and cozy twist on colorblocking inspired by the dazzling lights of winter.
Slipped stitches create little pops of color reminiscent of sparkling light. And these little blocks of color are surrounded by comforting moss stitch. There is a lovely assymetrical colorblocked pattern that appears when wrapped around your neck. I hope you'll enjoy cozying up in the Glimmering Kerchief.
YARN
The Glimmering Kerchief was designed for 2 strands of fingering weight yarn held together. The pattern can also be worked with a single strand of DK or worsted weight yarn.
This pattern was designed in collaboration with Little Lionhead Knits and Knitting Nellie. For the samples, I used Little Lionhead Knits' "Merry and Bright" Fingering Weight Sock Set, comprised of a full skein of Fingering Weight BFL Tweed Yarn (85% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester, 15% Donegal Nep, 438 yds/400 m per 100 g skein) and 2 Fingering Weight Mini Skeins (85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon, 87 yds/80 m per 100 g skein). I used 2 strands held together of each color.
