WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING
★★★★ “This has been a great resource to use as an introduction (as well as a review) to art concept. Recently, I've been using these as mini lessons in between bigger projects that focus on the same concepts. They give students the tools and vocabulary they need to feel successful and discuss their projects.” a C.

WHAT STUDENTS LEARN
Students practice the building blocks of art before moving on to bigger projects: color identification, primary colors, color mixing, warm and cool colors, lines, shapes, forms, art tools and materials, symmetry, creative doodling, landscape drawing, self portrait drawing, early artist awareness and hands-on shape play with tangrams.
Each topic pairs a simple explanation with hands-on practice, so students learn the vocabulary of art in a manageable, age-appropriate way. Use the workbook for a full intro to art unit, art centers, early finishers, sub plans, homeschool art or one page at a time throughout the year.

Classroom teachers, art teachers, homeschool educators and substitute teachers. It works especially well for Pre K, Kindergarten and 1st grade students learning the basics of art.

Print the full booklet double-sided as a complete introduction to art workbook, or photocopy single pages for worksheets, sub plans, centers or extra practice. You can choose the art mediums that fit your class or let students use different materials.

No. It works as a full art booklet, and the pages can also stand alone as individual lessons.
