Annual Filing Season Program for Tax Professionals

$71.76
2023 18-HOUR NON-EXEMPT AFSP PACKAGE

The Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) is a voluntary continuing education program for tax return preparers. Participation in the AFSP has proven to be quite beneficial for preparers who complete the program and receive the Annual Filing Season Program Record of Completion.

By learning critical updates for the upcoming 2023 tax season, a tax preparer has the essential knowledge and information that give them an edge over non-AFSP participants. The IRS permits anyone with a preparer tax identification number (PTIN) to prepare tax returns for compensation, but will not allow all unenrolled PTIN holders to represent clients before the IRS. In order to talk to the IRS during the examination of a client's return, an unenrolled tax return preparer must be an AFSP.

Running a business is hard enough without adding the complexity of filing taxes each year. More and more business owners will look to their tax experts to help them navigate the process and understand all the rules regarding filing a return. As the tax expert, it is your job to be on top of new tax regulations pertaining to tax filing.

The courses included will meet all the CE requirements of the IRS Non-Exempt Preparer Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) – Record of Completion.

Please note: Upon completing the CE courses, you will also need to consent to specific practice obligations outlined in Subpart B and section 10.51 of Treasury Department Circular No. 230 to complete the program requirements for the AFSP-ROC. This information can also be found in your secure email account once you log into your PTIN account. Contact the IRS for any questions regarding the AFSP Record of Completion. All digital products include 4% GA sales tax.
