How I Recovered From Anorexia
This book is written for parents and loved ones who witness firsthand how an eating disorder can take over a child. It's not meant to tell them what's right or wrong, but to give words to an inner world that often remains invisible.
In this book, I share what I went through and the approach that led me to recovery. It also includes several situations that occurred daily. For parents, these are just everyday things, but for an anorexia patient, they represent very difficult and distressing moments that you struggle with daily.
In my circle, I noticed how quickly people, driven by fear or love, jump to solutions. I understand that. At the same time, I needed understanding, trust, and someone who would continue to see me as a person.
The book concludes with a number of cheat sheets.
1-on-1 Guidance
In addition to this bundle, I also offer personal 1-on-1 sessions for both young people and parents (online via Zoom or Google Meet).
With young people, I focus on building self-confidence, developing an identity separate from the eating disorder, and sharing the mental shifts that were crucial in my own recovery. With parents, I work through specific — sometimes challenging — situations: what can be helpful, what may unintentionally work against recovery, and how to better understand your child from the perspective of how anorexia affects the brain.
Each session is fully tailored to what is most needed at that moment.
It is also possible to schedule a free introductory call to explore whether I might be a good fit and how I can best support you.
