Monthly Personal Finances Tracker (Excel Model)

The best thing I ever did for my quality of life was keeping track of how much I was spending/earning and on what. I have kept track using my own built-out excel model since starting college and I feel very grateful for this pre-established habit of mine as I've navigated the transition to living and working on my own in New York City.

I have received so many requests to share my model so I created a version that's easily personalizable to you, your lifestyle, and spending habits. In the model you can clearly see the breakdown of the money you spend and the proportion of which you spend it. You can also track all the different streams of income that you receive. It's always the best feeling when your Overall Net is in the positive, and I fully believe this is the way to ensure that it is.
