Western Belle
PDF SEWING PATTERN WITH INSTRUCTIONS AND VIDEO TUTORIAL
This is a PDF pattern in English available for instant download. You will not receive the completed bag.
WESTERN BELLE
The Western Belle is a bag with attitude, flair and unmistakable western charm. This design celebrates bold textures and timeless details, like hair on hide, (faux)leather, fringe and a decorative concho for that perfect statement look.
The Western Belle is fully lined and features an interior slip pocket, two card pockets, a secure top zipper closure and an exterior back zipper pocket for easy access. A wide adjustable strap with a bold pin buckle ensures comfort and versatility, whether worn on the shoulder or cross body.
DIMENSIONS
The finished dimensions of the Western Belle are approximately:
W 10 ¾” (27.5 cm)
H 7 ¾” (19.5 cm)
D at bottom ½” (13 mm)
D at top 1 ½” (4 cm)
SEWING LEVEL
Sewing level is rated as adventurous beginner.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS
Because of several raw edge pattern pieces, the Western Belle needs to be made from non-fraying materials, like vinyl or leather. The hair on hide piece on the front can be made from real leather (cow, sheep, lamb or goat) or you can use faux fur.
For the lining you can choose Water Proof Canvas (WPC) or quilting cotton interfaced with woven interfacing. Depending on your choice of materials and personal preference, you will need to stabilize the exterior pattern pieces with stabilizer that is suitable for your chosen materials. The pattern provides separate stabilizer pattern pieces.
FILES
With your purchase you will receive the following files:
1 PDF file with instructions
1 PDF file with pattern pieces to print at home (letter and A4)
1 ZIP file with SVG files for a few pattern pieces to use with a (Cricut) cutting machine
