What They Don't Teach in Schools and Colleges:

Today the youths of our country are full of dreams, desires & enthusiasm but lack vision, mission, and purpose as well as goals and don't know how to build character. They lack proper planning, development, direction, and control. They lack self-awareness of what their values and beliefs are and whether those values and beliefs are aligned with their goals and aspirations or not. That’s why they fail to create coherence within their thoughts, words, decisions, and actions and yield unsatisfactory outcomes and results, which means failing to succeed in their purpose, goals, and mission, leading to a feeling of being incomplete, unfulfilled, and dissatisfied with their career and life both.

At the institutions' level, especially in small and underdeveloped states like Bihar, U.P., Assam, Orissa, etc. in India, we focus more on quickly covering the ready traditional (not upgraded to industry standards) academic syllabus, which we all know helps in nothing except achieving a particular degree, which, without proper skills, attitude, and personality development, holds hardly any significance.  

As our great scientist Dr. Albert Einstein said, “It’s not the intelligence alone that makes a great scientist, it's character." Moreover, what we need to understand is that only the coverage of the academic curriculum or a desire to get a job or become rich and wealthy doesn't serve our purpose. To build a great career and life, we need to build a great character.

In this book “What they…," I have tried to focus on those aspects that can help students/people build good character, build and escalate their careers of choice, create a good life, and live it to their fullest, which I think every individual human being aspires for.

This book, “What They…" as I understand, through character, potential, and career building, will help bridge the gap between one’s ego-self and true-self, which is again another step forward towards achieving self-realization, the ultimate spiritual goal of our lives.
