Geared toward intermediate to advanced performers. You will need to buy supplies for some of the tricks, though most performers will already own what they need.

The ten escapes

  • Thumb Cuffs. A quick in and out escape using regulation thumb cuffs. Two ways to escape the cuffs are shown.
  • Handcuffs. A short explanation, and the only true way to get out.
  • Shackle Escape. A solid steel shackle set is shown, along with how to escape using a shackle called in-again and out-again shackles (a dealer item), and a second type as well.
  • Fifty or One Hundred Foot Rope Challenge. A challenge is issued that you can escape the length of rope in less time than it took to tie you up.
  • Siberian Chain Escape. With items you can get at a hardware store, you make one of the coolest escapes ever invented. A chain is wrapped around your wrists and locked in place. You escape in seconds.
  • Thumb Tie. Made famous by Japanese magicians. Two ways are taught, the pipe cleaner method and the electrical tape method. It looks impossible, but you are out in seconds and back in again before they catch on.
  • Davenport Comedy Leg Tie. While you are seated in a chair, your knees and hands are tied together and the hands are covered with a cloth. You are in and out several times before they catch on.
  • Escape King's Coat. You thread two ropes through the sleeves of a jacket and then put the jacket on. The ropes are tied across your body, and when you want, you escape with ease. Uses two helpers to make the effect look bigger on stage.
  • Zanzibar Rope Escape. A classic escape using an item you will either need to make or find at a dealer. Your wrists are secured with ropes through a tube, and when you pull, they seem to melt through your wrists and the tube.
  • Comedy Wrist Tie. Two helpers tie a length of rope around your wrists using two pieces of rope. When you have the second helper go to tie your legs, they find the rope is too short, and you make your escape.
