Cain Culto: Latin Gothic (Beginner Creative Writing)

What happens when a song haunts you—and history haunts it back? This beginner creative writing unit uses Cain Culto's genre-bending discography to inspire a short story in the Latin Gothic style. Students start with a personal "Writer in Me" introduction (skippable or expandable), then learn how the supernatural is never just supernatural—it's historical. They'll choose a song, build a character and setting steeped in heritage, folklore, and mystery, and write a story where the past refuses to stay buried. Includes lessons on Latin Gothic conventions, contemporary authors, mentor texts, character sheets, outlining guides, and a full teacher's guide with rubrics and pacing support. Perfect for beginner creative writing, workshops, or sub plans. No prep stress—just print and go.
