Having a thought out and well written plan with topics, dates, time, titles, visuals, content types for each day makes content creation on social media easy and that's what a social media Calendar is all about.

HOW CAN ONE CREATE IT?

Anyone can create their social media Calendar for the different social media platforms based on what works best for them. The following steps will help:

Define your goal; what exactly are you trying to achieve?

Go through your previous posts on social media and see how your posts have been performing. It's good to know what your audience like, what posts generates a high engagement and why?

How often do you want to post on social media? Once daily? twice daily? twice a week? Etc.

What type of content do you want to post for each day?

NOTE: Posting only one particular type of content will make your audience to become bored with your posts. It's good to break your post down into categories to give your audience a mix of different content types. A good weekly post should be able to educate, engage, entertain, inform and sell to your audience.

Try creating a weekly plan, gradually create a monthly plan and before you know it, you will be creating a yearly plan for your posts.
