Quilt Block Dishcloths
These dishcloths use Barbara Walker’s mosaic technique to mimic the appearance of calico quilt blocks. Charts for 6 different quilt blocks are included – Nine Patch, Shoo-Fly, Flying Geese, Sawtooth Star, Pinwheel, and Churn Dash.

Materials
Approximately 100 to 120 yards of sport-weight yarn in roughly equal amounts of two colors. Nine Patch and Flying Geese use slightly more of C1 and less of C2 – about 60 and 45 yards. Samples were knit in Knit Picks Comfy Sport (75% Pima cotton, 25% acrylic). Heavier dishcloth cotton will require larger needles, yield larger cloths, and take more yardage
US 4/3.5 mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge
US 6/4 mm needles or two sizes larger than gauge needles for binding off
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

24 stitches = 4 inches in unblocked mosaic stitch
