FAQs
-
The course is aimed at women who are about to give birth (roughly the last 6 weeks of pregnancy). You don’t need any previous experience of yoga – you just need to be curious and open-hearted but completely safe and nourishing anytime in pregnancy with your doctor's clearance.
-
The retreat is structured so that you can easily integrate it into your daily routine and fit in the sequences whenever you feel like it.
The sessions are divided as follows:
Morning (approx. 20 mins): Gentle strengthening & focus.
Afternoon/evening (approx. 30–45 mins): Yin Yoga & relaxation.
Journaling: You should probably set aside about 10 minutes for journaling. Ideally, you’ll fit this in straight after the evening sequence.
Partner session: Your partner is welcome to practise with you as a couple for about 10–15 minutes on two days. This is optional and not compulsory.
-
The only things you really need are a yoga mat and a device to watch the sequences on. I’ll show you how you can easily use everyday items from around the house, such as blankets or cushions, as substitutes.
If you’d still like to invest in some equipment, these are my top 2 yoga props:
- Yoga bolster
- Yoga block
Otherwise, you’ll need something to write with and a quiet space where you can be on your own. Make yourself comfortable with tea, candles, scents...
-
Forever.
-
Always listen to your body! If you’re feeling tired, skip the morning sequence and just do the gentle evening session or the meditation. The retreat is yours – there’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, just ‘how do I feel today and what’s good for me’.
As the acess remains, there is no need to rush and you can re-do the classes if they left you feeling at ease and peace.
-
Yes, absolutely. As long as you’re feeling well and your doctor or midwife hasn’t advised against exercise, you can do the exercises right up until the day you give birth. The sequences have been chosen to ensure they’re safe right up until the day of delivery.

What people are saying about my classes
I’ve been attending Leonie’s prenatal yoga classes since the first trimester, and it’s a wonderful experience every time. The combination of meditation, breathing exercises and strengthening yoga sessions is the perfect mix to prepare for the birth. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the classes with her as I enter the final stages of my pregnancy.
— Isabel
I really look forward to the pregnancy yoga classes every week. Leonie’s warm, calm and pleasant manner creates a lovely atmosphere every time, where you immediately feel at ease. I particularly love how varied the classes are and how thoughtfully different elements – such as movement, relaxation and breathing exercises – are combined. The yoga simply does me a world of good – both physically and mentally. ☺️
— Verena
Leonie’s antenatal yoga classes are a wonderful blend of strength-building and relaxation, and are perfectly tailored to pregnancy. For me, it’s a real moment of calm during the week, and I go home feeling relaxed and energised – and that carries me through my pregnancy.

Leonie Carolina
Hi there! I am Leonie, a mom of two little boys and your trusted yoga teacher. I specialized in prenatal and post partum yoga as well as yin yoga. After guiding expectant mothers through in-person studio classes in Zurich, I created this online sanctuary so you can prepare for birth in the comfort of your own home.
As I entered my first pregnancy I really wished there was something like this. As I had plenty of time waiting for the arrival of the baby, there would have been so much time to prepare for this new chapter Unfortuanetly I couldn't find anything that would prepare me both physically and mentally. Hence, the idea for this retreat was born. During the last stage of my second pregnancy I took the opportunity to develop the program and record the classes for you.
Thank you for your trust and being on this journey with me.
