Group chanting of Om namo Bhagavate Sri Arunachala Ramanaya Om
Question: "I feel like I've got quite a lot going on in my life at the moment. What would you recommend I do?"
TD: Sometimes we feel like we are carrying all these worries and stresses. What does Bhagavan Ramana suggest? He says we can give all our burdens to God, he will bear them. He gives the luggage and the train analogy. Once you're on the train, you can put your luggage down, you don't have to keep carrying it. We can give our worries regularly to Bhagavan throughout the day. Try to become sensitive to when you are carrying something. Like you're metaphorically wearing a rucksack on your back and as soon as you feel something's in it, you know, a small weight, you go, "Oh, now let me give that to God."
Sometimes you won't notice that you're carrying something in your backpack, your emotional
backpack. You won't realise until maybe a week later and then you're like, "Oh my gosh, my shoulders
are aching. This is really heavy." So whenever you remember regularly, daily, throughout the day, try and give things to God...Maybe start with something small to start off with. The miracles happen in your life and then you'll start to have more faith because everything is you. When you let go, a mysterious power takes care of it all for you. Then you go deeper into yourself. You let go of even the idea of being a person. Then you'll discover what you are.
