What people are saying

“I think the main highlight for me was that your approach in the guide was a perfect 50/50 balance between expert, descriptive knowledge/science and subjective/emotional details and perceptions. Analysing and understanding both about oneself and others (and society, to an extent, I guess) all matter for recovery, yet very few resources openly include both kinds of knowledge, which makes this guide one of its kind.”

“Julia’s guide felt like a safe, cozy container, guiding you through the chapters. Even though the content touches on sensitive topics, it still never felt too harsh or sciencey, but always comforting. You could feel the work, heart and thought put into each page.”

“ Julia's work, not only helped me heal and reflect on my wounds related to EDs, but also helped me become more compassionate with myself and others... I loved the possibility this guide offers to discover and explore different aspects of ourselves through readings, but especially a wide variety of practices. It was also an incredible pleasure to meet Julia, and her ability to give care and love, which she conveyed even through words."

“A thoughtful and compassionate guide that encourages self-reflection without judgment. I especially loved the research behind this guide and how it translated complex areas of psychology into an approachable and digestible format. It helped me see shame from a different perspective: less as a personal flaw and more as a shared human experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking to better understand themselves and approach their inner world with more compassion.”

“The guide felt very easy and safe to follow along - quite literally as if the PDF extended its hand to grab mine and take me along the content. The familiar, compassionate yet very knowledgeable tone is well suited to the complex topics covered in the guide. I feel like it was written with a profound understanding that the journey the reader is on is not easy, and that alone makes it a really nice tool.”

“I would recommend this guide to anyone who is in recovery from an ED/body-image disorder - and, to be fair, to anyone aware that they are struggling with self-love and self-acceptance ... I would recommend the guide to people who may not feel fully recovered, albeit on the upward-sloping side of it - excluding any serious ED-related medical issues of course - as there is a lot to learn from this guide, and it feels very safe to explore its content.”
